Patchwork Press was born in February 2024 amidst a disillusionment with the current state of our world. With growing wealth gaps, inequality, and oppression combined with support of the war machine and the implications of late stage capitalism, there remains a need for the sharing of true, honest information and art. Revolution is not just possible, but inevitable — Patchwork Press wants to be part of that.

We are an anti-racist, anti-fascist, queer/LGBTQIA+ space, and will not publish or support work that denies the integral necessities of those movements. As a matter of fact, they are the foundation of Patchwork Press.

At this time, we are not seeking 501(c)(3) status. This is because having nonprofit status could affect our ability to publish what we want, especially content that has political implications. To compensate for this, we donate 10% of our profits to a mutual aid organization, with preference to those in the Albuquerque, New Mexico metro area. We also set aside 10% for a creator grant to help local artists.
